What does everything weigh?

This is our most common question! The empty vest, including the piping and pump, weighs 1 lb 12 oz. The 6 oz battery pack fits comfortably in the back pouch. For best performance, we recommend adding one frozen ice plate (~1 lb) and 16 oz of cool water to the reservoir.

How does this work?

Insert one reusable ice plate into the vest reservoir, then fill with cool water. This creates a fully enclosed circulation system that routes the water around the vest through integrated channels (invisible from the outside).

Once turned on, the internal pump moves cooled water across your body, pulling heat away and recooling it as it passes the ice plate. The BPA-free polyethylene reservoir helps maintain the ideal cooling temperature. Just swap out the ice plates as needed to keep the relief coming.

The 10,000 mAh battery is housed in a water-resistant pouch to help protect your gear while you're on the move.

1. Fill the ice plate to the line, then freeze.

2. Insert the frozen ice plate into the back reservoir.

3. Add 7–17oz (200–500ml) of cool water.

4. Zip the reservoir completely shut.

Locate the connector

Connector is inside the back zippered pocket.

Plug the connector into the USB-A connection on the battery.

Place the battery inside the pocket, on the back of the vest, then zip the pocket closed.

Power on

Press the power button until it turns red. Cools up to 12 hours on one charge on Regular Mode.

Want to stay cooler longer? Try Eco Mode. Power off the vest and then Press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds until it turns blue. Cools up to 20 hours on one charge with Eco Mode.

Swap in new frozen ice plates as needed to stay cool longer.

Do I have to use the Ice Plates?

No! You can use any of these three cooling options: ice plate and water, ice cubes and water, or cold water alone.

Can I use this for sleep?

While the vest is safe to sleep in, some users have found that it's not very comfortable for this purpose.

Are the Ice Plates non-toxic?

Yes! They are safe and non-toxic, but not recommended for ingestion. Accidental ingestion of product may require medical attention, do not induce vomiting. See product insert/directions for MSDS information.

Is the Breeze II Unisex Cooling Vest water resistant?

Yes the Breeze vest is made with water-resistant polyester.

After-Use Care Instructions for Your Breeze II Unisex Cooling Vest

To ensure your Breeze II Unisex Cooling Vest stays in top condition and performs at its best, follow these simple after-use care steps. After each use, empty any remaining water from the reservoir. Then, hang the vest using the built-in hook with the cap off and allow it to air dry completely—this helps prevent moisture buildup and reduces the risk of mold or mildew. Finally, remove the ice plate from the vest and place it, along with any additional plates used, back into the freezer so they’re ready for your next wear.

How do I clean my Breeze II Unisex Cooling Vest

Not machine washable. Wipe clean with a damp cloth or hand wash with components removed. Air dry only.

Battery Care

To keep your battery in optimal condition, fully charge and discharge it every 3 to 6 months. Only use Gobi Heat batteries with your product to ensure safe and reliable performance. If the battery becomes damaged, dropped, tampered with, or otherwise compromised, discontinue use immediately. When traveling, always pack the battery in your carry-on luggage rather than checked baggage. And when it's time to dispose of the battery, do not throw it in the trash—please use proper recycling methods.

❄️ How long do the ice plates last in extreme heat?

Our included 15oz ice plate is designed to provide cooling relief for up to 3 hours in moderate conditions. However, in extreme temperatures (100°F / 38°C and above), cooling time may be closer to 30–45 minutes, depending on individual activity level, sun exposure, and humidity.

Why the shorter duration?
In these high-heat environments, the body works overtime to regulate temperature — and so do our ice plates. The hotter it gets, the faster the ice melts to keep you cool.

Need longer-lasting cooling?

✅ Storing spares in a cooler or freezer allows quick swaps when needed.

How do I wash my Breeze II Unisex Cooling Vest?

If your vest gets a little dusty, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean when needed, start by locating both the pump and the battery inside the back zipper pocket. Disconnect the tubes and the electrical connection from the pump, then disconnect the battery. Set both the pump and battery aside before cleaning. Hand wash the vest gently and allow it to air dry completely. Once dry, reconnect the pump and battery before your next use. While the vest is built for adventure, it should never go in the washing machine—machine washing may damage the tubing, pump fixtures, and weather-resistant fabric coating.
